Jessica Dominguez
Counseling Intern
I’m Jessica Dominguez, and I’m on a mission to make a positive difference in the lives of adolescents and adults through mental health counseling. Currently, I’m completing my internship while pursuing a Master’s degree at Freed-Hardeman University, with the ultimate goal of obtaining licensure in Tennessee after graduation. One unique aspect of my counseling approach is my proficiency in delivering therapy services in both English and Spanish, enabling me to reach and connect with a wider range of clients. As a bilingual intern, I understand the importance of breaking down language barriers to ensure that everyone has access to the support they need for personal development and well-being. Creating a nurturing and empathetic environment is at the core of my approach. I believe that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported, especially when discussing personal struggles. My goal is to establish a safe space where clients can explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences openly and without judgment. In my practice, I rely on evidence-based approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients develop practical skills and strategies for overcoming challenges and improving their quality of life. I’m dedicated to supporting adolescents and adults on their journey towards well-being, empowering them to make positive changes and achieve their goals. Whether you’re navigating difficult emotions, facing life transitions, or seeking personal growth, I’m here to support you every step of the way. With my bilingual capabilities, compassionate approach, and dedication to evidence-based practice, I’m committed to helping you thrive and live a fulfilling life.
At Central Care Counseling, our mission is to provide accessible, quality mental health services to the community while supporting the development of future clinicians. To ensure that everyone in our community can receive the care they need, all of our interns will offer services at a reduced rate of $30.00, under the supervision of our clinical director, Aleyda Sanchez, LPC/MHSP. By choosing to see an intern, you are not only receiving valuable mental health support, but you are also helping students complete their educational requirements and grow into successful clinicians. Together, we are building a stronger, healthier community
