Leyla MacLean holds a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Clemson University and is currently pursuing advanced training as a clinical mental health counselor through Freed-Hardeman University. With over seven years of experience as a school counselor, she has worked extensively with children and adolescents ages 6–18, supporting their emotional, behavioral, and academic development.
Leyla works with children, adults, and families, taking a trauma-informed and client-centered approach to therapy. She creates a compassionate and supportive space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, build on their strengths, and move toward meaningful change.
Her work with adults and families focuses on identifying and shifting unhelpful relationship patterns while fostering resilience. When working with children, Leyla incorporates play to address emotional regulation concerns and conflict resolution skills. She also emphasizes collaboration with caregivers to strengthen attachment and extend the benefits of therapeutic work into the home environment.
