Counseling Intern

I’m a counseling intern with Central Care Counseling Services. I am currently studying to earn a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Belmont University. Upon graduating, I will begin working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have an immense passion for supporting others, particularly from a person-centered approach, through providing unconditional care and acceptance of each person who walks through my door. I approach counseling from a lens of collaboration and restoration. I’m interested in serving individuals who are seeking assistance in navigating anxiety, depression, disordered eating, grief & loss, life transitions, self-image issues, trauma, self-worth, spiritual abuse & trauma, stress, and spiritual issues.

Although one’s circumstances can feel bleak, I believe there is power in reaching out to another for support in the midst of self-exploration; no one is meant to face this life alone. My mission is to provide those in need with hope, healing, and renewal. In doing so, I work to provide a listening ear along with practical strategies of help and instruction. I view each client as perfectly unique with their own story, outlook, and experiences. It would be my privilege to be a facilitator of a safe space for you to visit throughout your journey of arriving to your desired goal/destination. I hope to speak with you soon!

At Central Care Counseling, our mission is to provide accessible, quality mental health services to the community while supporting the development of future clinicians. To ensure that everyone in our community can receive the care they need, all of our interns will offer services at a reduced rate of $30.00, under the supervision of our clinical director, Aleyda Sanchez, LPC/MHSP. By choosing to see an intern, you are not only receiving valuable mental health support, but you are also helping students complete their educational requirements and grow into successful clinicians. Together, we are building a stronger, healthier community.
